It’s simple! And I’m using OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.5)! But, we will be using the official utility for Linux, available on Open PS2 Loader’s source code. Searching the Internet, I’ve found different methods using Windows programs (USBUtil, USBExtreme and USBInsane). Since I failed so many times trying to use SMB mode in OPL to communicate with my hackintosh, I decided to use the super-slow USB mode.
